The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be closing a portion of the roadway for repair work on the U.S. 68-KY 80 Bypass in Hopkinsville on Tuesday.
According to a news release, motorists can anticipate a westbound lane closure between KY 107 and KY 695 beginning at 9 a.m. The lane closure is necessary for Christian County Maintenance personnel to address pavement repairs caused by downed power lines on June 28.
This effort is expected to take three to four hours to complete and motorists will need to seek alternative routes during that time frame.
The start and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destination.
