NFL

The Atlanta Falcons have received several calls about the availability of prized wide receiver Julio Jones, and apparently the Seattle Seahawks have been among them. According to E-S-P-N, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson has been in touch with the Atlanta wide receiver. Last week, Atlanta reportedly received an offer of a future first-round pick for Jones and a deal could come as soon as this week.

NBA

The Memphis Grizzlies have a chance to even their first-round playoff series in game four tonight against the top-seeded Utah Jazz. Utah took control of the series with a 121-111 Game Three win over Memphis on Saturday. Ja Morant scored 28 points in the loss.
Golf

Jason Kokrak was able to survive bogeying 15 and 16 to win the Charles Schwab Challenge by two strokes over Jordan Spieth on Sunday in Fort Worth, TX. Kokrak finished the final round with an even-par 70 to finish the four-day tournament at 14-under. Spieth shot a three-over 73, bogeying the 15 and 18 to fall out of contention. Louisville area native Justin Thomas tied for 40th at two under par, while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker tied for 50th at even par.

At the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK, Alex Cejka was the winner at eight under par, defeating Tim Petrovic by four strokes. Franklin’s Kenny Perry tied for 16th at three over par.

Auto Racing
Helio Castroneves took home his record-tying fourth Indianapolis 500. The 46-year-old took home victory in front of 135-thousand racing fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway which is the largest crowd to gather for a sporting event since the pandemic began. The driver nicknamed “Spiderman” won three Indy 500 titles with Team Penske, his last being in 2009. He joins A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Senior, and Rick Mears as the only four-time champions of the famous face.

Kyle Larson put on a clinic to win NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Larson led 327 laps in the win. Teammate Chase Elliott finished in second. Kyle Busch squeaked in for a third-place finish while William Byron and Alex Bowman rounded out the top five.
