As the pandemic winds down in Kentucky due to more people getting vaccinated, Gov. Andy Beshear says the incident reports of the virus are changing – more young people are getting infected.
He announced 285 new COVID cases Monday and the highest rate is among 10- to 19-year-olds.
In some good news, the overall number of new cases is now in a three-week decline and the positivity rate continues to drop.
He says 1.9 million Kentuckians have received at least a first shot of vaccine.
The governor also announced six new deaths.
