Eight new COVID cases in Trigg County reported Friday, one in Todd

There were eight new cases of COVID-19 reported from Wednesday to Friday in Trigg County.

There are 40 active cases in Trigg County and two of those patients are hospitalized, while the rest are at home.

The Pennyrile District Health Department says 1,169 of 1,221 total cases have recovered and Trigg County has reported 10 COVID-related deaths.

The Todd County Health Department says their single new case is an adult with underlying health conditions who’s at home with mild symptoms. All 27 active cases in Todd County are healing at home

The Tennessee Department of Health reported 1,370 new cases and eight additional deaths Friday. Hospitalizations were up by 27 to 820 and the positivity rate was 5.99 percent in the Volunteer State.
