Tigers win, Colonels & Blazers lose Tuesday

Hopkinsville improved to 7-0 on the season with a 15-2 win over Hopkins Central. Logan Snyder went 3-3 at the plate with Landon Cook adding two hits. Tim Cansler and Zach Moss combined to one hit the Storm with Moss getting the pitching win. Moss also struck out seven batters.

Madisonville built a 13-3 lead after three innings and went on to rout Christian County 17-5. The Colonels committed six errors in the game and got two hits each from Elijah Underhill and Patrick Liddell. Chance Henderson took the pitching loss for Christian County, now 1-7 on the season.

Christian County travels to Hopkinsville Thursday for a 6 pm game, with the First Financial Bank pregame show at 5:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and online at whopam.com.

Crittenden County used an eight run fifth inning to rally from a 3-1 deficit to defeat University Heights 10-5 in semifinal action of the 2nd Region All A tournament Tuesday. Ty Hunt went 4-4 with a double for the Blazers, who also got two hits each from Seth Hancock, Eston Glover and JT DeArmond. Ian Tyler took the pitching loss. UHA is now 5-6 on the season and is back in action at Hancock County on Friday.
