The Atlanta Braves announced today Hall of Famer Chipper Jones will join the coaching staff as a major league hitting consultant in a part time capacity. The 48-year-old Jones spent his entire playing career with the Braves and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.

Dustin Pedrioa announced his retirement today. The 37-year-old second baseman spent his entire playing career with the Boston Red Sox. He played on three World Series champion teams in 2007, 2013 and 2018 and had a career .299 batting average with 140 home runs. Pedrioa is the only player in MLB history to win a World Series title and earn MVP, Rookie of the Year and Gold Glove awards within their first two seasons.
