Robertson was the last Kentucky county to have a confirmed coronavirus case and a church there sent a package with masks and a letter as a kind gesture to the people of Christian County.
The population of Robertson County is only about 2,300 making it the smallest in the commonwealth based on population.
The letter is from Jean Meacham of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble read it to Christian Fiscal Court Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Darrell Gustafson told fiscal court that the local Airport Board is beginning the process to acquire a small piece of land near the runway to prevent the federal government from downgrading the airport’s classification.
Judge Tribble reminded the community that census workers are out going door to door looking to make contact with those who haven’t responded to the census.
In other action, fiscal court approved a three-year extension of the Commownealth Attorney’s Office lease for its section of the annex building.
