The Cave-in-Rock Ferry that carries motorists across the Ohio River from Crittenden County to Illinois had to close Sunday due to a mechanical issue.
Repairs will be required on the gear box of the Lonnie Jo before service can resume, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. It will likely be sometime Wednesday before repairs can be completed.
