During a media visit today, Kentucky coach John Calipari said he’s confident Wake Forest transfer Olivier Sarr will be eligible this season. Sarr needs a transfer waiver from the NCAA for immediate eligibility as a non-graduate transfer. However, the NCAA doesn’t grant waivers for coaches being fired. Sarr told ESPN when he announced he was transferring that he would start a professional career in Europe rather than sitting out a season in college per normal transfer rules if he was not granted a waiver for immediate eligibility.
