The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed with defensive tackle Chris Jones on a four-year, $85 million contract extension that includes $60 million in guarantees. The Chiefs had placed the franchise tag on Jones and had until
Wednesday to reach a long-term deal.

NBA

Two NBA players in the Orlando bubble have been placed on 10 day quarantine. Houston Rocket Bruno Caboclo and Sacramento King RIchaun Holmes violated rules in the health and safety protocols that if a player left the bubble, he would have to quarantine.

Olympics

The president of the Japanese Olympic Committee is hopeful the postponed Tokyo Olympics this summer can take place next year. Yasuhiro Yamashita, a former Olympic gold medalist in judo, acknowledged in a news conference that it will be difficult holding the Olympics next year. He also pointed out that nobody can know the state of the coronavirus pandemic in a few months or next year.
