Strong thunderstorms early Sunday morning have caused power outages and standing water in places.
Over 2,500 Pennyrile Electric members were without power at one time and Brent Gilkey says a vast majority of the issues were in Trigg County and most were caused by lightning.
Standing water in the usual places was also an issue across the area—especially west of Hopkinsville—with the Mesonet site in Trigg County measuring nearly three inches of rain since midnight.
Trigg County Emergency Management reported water across multiple roads and trees down in places.
The Christian County site just north of Hopkinsville picked up just under an inch and the site on Old Trenton Road in Todd County had only two tenths of an inch.
