Report: More Covid-19 cases reported by the NHL

Sportsnet reported earlier today the NHL said it’s had 35 total players test positive for COVID-19 — 23 of the 396 players who have reported to team facilities for Phase 2 activities, and 12 additional players outside of the Phase 2 protocol. The league and NHL Players’ Association last night agreed on protocols to start training camps and resume the season. That includes daily testing once games get under way for players, coaches and staff. Resuming the season is contingent on each side approving an extension of the collective bargaining agreement and the return-to-play protocol.
