The front of a building on South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville had a partial collapse Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Henderson spoke to WHOP News at the scene and said South Main was shut down from Fourth to Sixth Street until the structure was deemed sound and bricks picked up and moved.
Dozens of bricks were on the sidewalk in front of the building, the upper portion of the façade had begun bowing outward and there was spider-web type cracking of bricks further down on the front of the structure.
No one was injured in the incident.
