Todd County to have two in-person voting locations for primary

While many larger counties will only have one location to vote in-person on primary election day, Todd County residents will have two places to cast a ballot.

Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan told fiscal court Friday morning that North Todd and South Todd elementary schools will be open as polling places from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on June 23.

Anyone can vote absentee at the Todd County Clerk’s Office during regular business hours through June 22 and O’Bryan says the clerk’s office will be open for in-house absentee voting only from 9 until 3 this Saturday and next.

Monday is the deadline to go to govoteky.com or to call your clerk’s office to request a mail-in absentee ballot.

Magistrates approved a resolution accepting about $819,000 in COVID-19 relief funds through the federal government and Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith says the county should be reimbursed for most expenses directly related to the pandemic.

Magistrates unanimously approved final reading of a $7.2 million budget for the upcoming fiscal year that doesn’t anticipate any increases to taxes in the next year. They formally approved a 2.5 percent cost of living pay raise for county employees, effective July 1.
