Construction equipment and a handgun were stolen in separate incidents in Hopkinsville Monday morning.
According to the Hopkinsville police reports, an unknown suspect entered a home on Wooldridge Road sometime in early May and took a 9mm handgun valued at $400.
In a separate theft, an unknown suspect reportedly operated a 2017 CASE Excavator unlawfully and removed it from an East Fourth Street property without permission, along with an 18-foot trailer. The items had a combined value of $65,000.
No suspects are listed on the reports and both cases are being investigated as theft by unlawful taking.
