Kentucky State Police arrested a Nortonville man Sunday for multiple charges following a pursuit in Hopkins County.
According to a news release, troopers observed a vehicle operated by 27-year-old Justin Cardwell of Nortonville committing multiple traffic violations on South Main Street in Nortonville and a traffic stop was initiated. Cardwell allegedly accelerated and fled, with the pursuit continuing until he collided with a fence on West Pine Street.
He allegedly attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Cardwell was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, reckless driving and multiple traffic violations.
