Farmer’s Market to open Saturday, with guidelines in place

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Farmer’s Market intends to open for business on Saturday and there will be guidelines in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to a news release, officials are asking patrons to follow the Kentucky Department of Agriculture protocols and requirements to allow vendors and market staff to efficiently and effectively serve customers.  When it opens, customers will be required to wear a mask, only one person per household can shop, follow flow of traffic guidance and to be swift with purchases.

Vendors will be set up differently this year, to allow for good social distancing practices.  Customers are also asked to not pick up any product unless they intend to buy it, and to make sure they wash produce with running water before eating.

Officials ask that everyone remain patient as they try to adapt to the new world we all must live in.  For more information, call (270) 887-4285.
