A single-vehicle accident Friday in Calloway County caused critical injuries to the driver.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined 58-year old Russell Trites of Murray had been eastbound on KY 94 when his vehicle went off the left shoulder of the roadway, traveled about 250 yards through a field and struck a tree.
Trites had to be extricated from his vehicle and was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in critical condition.
