University of Louisville athletics director Vince Tyra says he doesn’t see playing games this fall without fans as a viable option. The Courier Journal reports during a meeting of the University of Louisville Athletic Association Monday, Tyra said his school would not play games with empty stands. Tyra added the idea of encouraging unpaid college athletes to grab, push and tackle one another in a venue that fans are not permitted to enter due to health concerns is ethically questionable. He also said if there isn’t a vaccine for coronavirus, it makes it more difficult for football to return.
