Japanese professor thinks Tokyo Olympics won’t be held next year

A Japanese professor of infectious disease said he is “very pessimistic” the Tokyo Olympics will happen in 2021. Kentaro Iwata, a professor at Kobe University, said he doesn’t believe Japan and other countries will be able to control the coronavirus by the scheduled start date of July 23, 2021, but did say he could see the Games being played with no audience or with very limited participation.
