The PGA Tour ended its contract to hold annual tournaments at The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. The resort issued a statement saying the sides came to a mutual agreement to cancel this year’s tournament due to the coronavirus pandemic and all future events through 2026. Attendance for the 2019 tournament was down after it moved from summer to the fall.
The BMW International Open in Germany and the Open de France golf tournaments were canceled today because of the coronavirus pandemic, and the Scottish Open was postponed. Both tournaments fell victim to bans on major events in their countries. All European Tour tournaments up to the end of July have been canceled or postponed because of the virus outbreak.
