The Anniston Star reports the Alabama High School Athletic Association announced Thursday all spring sports in the state are shut down for the remainder of the school year. The move is part of a response to Governor Kay Ivey’s announcement that schools switch to in-home instruction on April 6th, which was supposed to be the end date of the current suspension of school and extracurricular activities.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association has all sports on hold through April 12th.
