Hopkinsville police are investigating after a woman was injured in an apparent accidental shooting on West First Street Friday afternoon.
It happened just after 4 p.m. at 918 West First Street and Lt. Seth Meek says the woman was flown to a Nashville hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. The extent of her injuries was unknown, but police say she was able to speak to officers.
Detectives Sgt. Todd DeArmond says it appears the shooting was accidental in nature, but it remains under investigation.
