Hopkinsville police arrested a man Monday night for strangulation and assault.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. at a location on East Ninth Street, with a report saying 38-year old Marcus Jones struck his ex-girlfriend in the face and strangled her until she could no longer breathe.
Jones was arrested for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
