A Paducah juvenile is facing numerous charges following a vehicle pursuit in Graves County Sunday.
That’s according to Kentucky State Police, who say in a news release that troopers were patrolling in the area of US 45 North when a vehicle traveling 92 miles per hour was spotted. A traffic stop was initiated by the driver allegedly failed to stop and sped up, reaching speeds of near 110 miles per hour.
Troopers pursued the vehicle for approximately nine miles before the vehicle turned onto Cherry Drive which has no outlet. The suspect exited the vehicle while it was still in motion and continued to flee on foot. The suspect was eventually apprehended using a taser. The suspect gave multiple names to troopers which were determined to be false and it was later determined he was a juvenile from Paducah.
The juvenile, who was not named, is charged with speeding, two counts of fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property, DUI, resisting arrest, giving officers a false name, two counts of criminal mischief, reckless driving and multiple traffic violations.
