A new name has filed to run for city council in Ward 9 in the 2020 election.
According to the Christian County Clerk’s Office, Caratha Z. Buckner turned in her paperwork to run for city council Ward 9 as a Democrat, the seat currently held by council member Patricia Bell. Buckner currently serves as a commissioner on the Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission board, as well as other capacities for the City of Hopkinsville.
