Sen. Humphries not running again in 2020

First District state Senator Stan Humphries of Trigg County has announced he won’t be seeking a third term in that office next year.

The Republican who served as Trigg County judge-executive before being elected to the Senate in 2012 says he is looking forward to being able to spend more time with his family.

In the meantime, Senator Humphries is preparing to head back to Frankfort for one more session of the General Assembly.
