Man arrested for helping runaway juvenile evade police

A man was arrested on Mill Terrace Court Saturday night for allegedly trying to help a runaway juvenile to not be captured.

Hopkinsville police went to the Mill Terrace residence about 9:45 p.m. and a report says 21-year old William Moore of Hopkinsville pulled the blinds to the side and looked out, but did not come to the door.

Officers looking in could see the juvenile who was sought on a pick-up and detain order and they saw Moore escort the juvenile to a rear room of the home.

Moore allegedly ignored multiple announcements from police until the juvenile eventually came outside.

Police say Moore also exited after being told he was under arrest. He was charged with hindering apprehension and felony custodial interference.
