Last night, Vanderbilt edged Texas A&M Corpus Christi 71-66 and in women’s action unranked Tennessee upset 15th ranked Notre Dame 74-63. The Lady Vols are 3-0 to start the season.
Kentucky’s Tyrese Maxey was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week Monday. Maxey had 26 points in the season opening win against Michigan State and followed that with a nine point performance against Eastern Kentucky last Friday.
