A woman died in Graves County Saturday morning when she was hit by a vehicle as she crossed the road after checking her mail.
It happened about 9:50 a.m. on KY 381 in the Sedalia community of Graves County and the Graves County Sheriff’s Department says 84-year old Glenda Garland of Sedalia walked into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 67-year old Bob Reed of Tri City.
Reed was unable to avoid striking Garland and she was taken by EMS to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
Reed was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by a deputy as a precaution.
