Man charged with manufacturing meth, receiving stolen property

A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges, including manufacturing methamphetamine and receiving stolen property after a meth lab was allegedly found in a residence on Butler Road.

According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the residence on Butler Road on Friday to serve a warrant on 35-year old Matthew Martin of Hopkinsville.  Upon contact with Martin, deputies allegedly discovered a suspected meth pipe on his person.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence, where it allegedly revealed a stolen handgun that was loaded, bullets, thousands of dollars of counterfeit money, cocaine, forged checks along with blank check paper and a suspected meth lab was found in the tool room.

Martin was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth, receiving stolen property, criminal possession of a forged instrument, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
