A woman was killed and a man was injured in a head-on collision Saturday morning in Muhlenberg County.
Kentucky State Police investigated and determined 54-year old Jeffrey Bidwell of South Carrollton was southbound on KY 81 three miles north of Bremen when a car driven by 72-year old Roy Clark of Greenville entered the roadway from the west at an angled intersection.
Bidwell swerved to avoid a crash, but struck Clark’s car in a head-on collision.
Roy Clark and his passenger, 67-year old Margaret Clark of Greenville, were able to exit the car before it became engulfed in flames. They were both transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital, where Margaret Clark died from her injuries. Roy Clark is expected to survive and Bidwell was taken to Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville with non-life-threatening injuries.
