The annual fundraising campaign is well underway for the United Way of the Pennyrile and Sanctuary, Inc. is joining the effort and is looking for the public’s help.
The organization, which helps victims of domestic abuse in a nine-county region, has created several baskets that will now be up for bid. Director Heather Lancaster says the baskets are filled with a variety of items and were put together by Sanctuary staff.
She says 100 percent of proceeds generated by the baskets will go towards the United Way fundraising campaign, which helps support about 20 partner agencies in the community.
Lancaster says people can call, or send them a message through their Facebook page to place a bid.
