A former Hutson, Inc. employee was arrested over the weekend for allegedly voiding a large transaction and keeping the money.
Hopkinsville police investigated the alleged theft and the Todd County Sheriff’s Department assisted HPD in serving 26-year old Travis Combs of Sharon Grove with the warrant on Friday.
It alleges that on Wednesday of last week, Combs sold tractor parts to a customer and invoiced the labor to install the parts. Police say Combs admitted that he then deleted the transaction and pocketed just under $3,000.
Combs was booked in the Todd County Jail on the felony theft charge and was later released on a $5,000 bail.
Combs ran an unsuccessful campaign for Todd Fiscal Court magistrate in District 2 last year.
