Madisonville resident injured in two-vehicle crash

A Madisonville resident was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened a few minutes before 3 p.m. at the intersection of South Seminary Street and Sugg Street, according to a news release from Madisonville police, which says 91-year old Thula Brooks of Madisonville was stopped at the stop sign on Sugg and failed to yield the right of way to a northbound vehicle on Seminary driven by 54-year old Cynthia Watts of Manitou.

Their vehicles collided in the intersection and Brooks was taken by EMS to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
