One day after emergency management requested that residents delay any outdoor burns due to dry conditions, Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield placed all unincorporated areas of the county under a burn ban until further notice.
Officials say any outdoor burning is illegal during the ban period and violators will be subject to fines of up to $500.
Open outdoor burning includes, but is not limited to debris removal, trash disposal, land clearing and bonfires.
