An investigation Sunday morning on Kenwood Drive led to the arrest of a woman on drug charges.
Officers responded to a disturbance inside a moving vehicle between a man and woman at about 8:30 a.m. and were able to stop the car.
A police report says 28-year old Ashley Saunders of Hopkinsville was a passenger in the vehicle and she appeared to be under the influence of a substance. A K9 alerted on the car and police say methamphetamine was located inside Saunders’ purse, in addition to a prescription pill.
Saunders was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
