Hundreds of students gathered at the old Christian County Middle School gymnasium Saturday for the Hopkinsville Community Friends’ 8th Annual Back to School Bash.
Organizer Rose Jackson says it began as a smaller event to help local children get off to a positive start to the new school year and has grown every year since.
She says while they hand out school supplies to each student at the end of the program, the event is about much more than that.
Jackson thanked citizens, businesses and organizations in the community who make the annual bash possible.
