A dog was killed in a fire that caused heavy damage to a home on Maple Court Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Futrell says cause of the blaze at 828 Maple remains under investigation.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced resident.
