A Metro Nashville Police officer was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning near Nissan Stadium.
Officer John Anderson was a four-year veteran of the police department and was only 28 years old, according to information released by Metro, which says his cruiser was struck by vehicle operated by a 17-year old at the intersection of Interstate Drive and Woodland Street just after 3 a.m. Thursday.
Officer Anderson worked from the Central Precinct and was on duty at the time of the accident.
