Details have been released on a fatal accident Monday morning on Interstate 69 in Marshall County.
It happened about 4:45 a.m. near the 35 mile-marker, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, which says Brian Chappell of Livermore had been southbound in a semi loaded with crushed cars when he went into the median.
The rig overturned when he re-entered the road and came to rest on its side.
A southbound pickup operated by Philip Givans of Gilbertsville was unable to stop and struck Chappell’s overturned trailer.
Chappell was pronounced dead at the scene and Givans was taken by EMS to an area hospital with serious injuries.
