A man sought on a warrant is facing new drug charges following his arrest Monday morning.
A tip was received by Hopkinsville police that 35-year old Gregory Shemwell of Hopkinsville was walking in the area of West Edmunds and Canton Street. He was located on South Main and was arrested on a warrant for bond revocation.
A search of his backpack allegedly revealed syringes—one that was loaded with methamphetamine.
Personnel at the jail located baggie of meth on his person, according to the report.
Shemwell was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and promoting contraband.
