Anyone interested in being among the first group of employees hired to work at the new Novelis plant in Guthrie can apply Thursday at a job fair hosted by Hopkinsville Community College.
It will be from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and plant manager Paul Banks says they’re hiring a group of operators and maintenance personnel that will begin work on the first of next month.
You must have a high school diploma and necessary experience, but Banks says it’s about more than just those qualifications.
Potential employees must be willing to work 12-hour shifts and must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. The job fair will be in the HCC auditorium building.
