Alcohol is listed as a factor in a motor scooter wreck Tuesday morning on Wooldridge Road that injured the driver.
The report from Public Safety Officer Cassidy Woods says 54-year old Timothy Wright of Hopkinsville had been southbound when he veered off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox.
He continued off the road in gravel before striking a utility pole.
Wright complained of multiple injuries and was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Police say he admitted to drinking prior to driving and was cited into court for driving on a suspended license.
