Hoptown Hoppers fall to Fulton Saturday night

The Hoptown Hoppers evened their record to 1-1 on the Ohio Valley League season following an 11-7 loss at Fulton last night.The Hoppers led 7-3 going into the bottom of the 8th inning before the Railroaders erupted for eight runs to take the lead and get the win. The Hoppers got home runs from Jacob Jenkins, Seth Bennett and Greg Melhaff, with Jenkins leading the Hopper hitters going 3-4. Bennett, Brennan Crooms and Brendan Nee added two hits each.

Chandler Kendall, in relief of starter Will Nash took the pitching loss. The Hoppers return to Hopkinsville High’s Tiger Field for the first ever meeting with the Franklin Duelers this evening.
