Russellville woman chosen to lead South Todd Elementary

A new principal has been selected for South Todd Elementary School.

The Todd County School District announced the hiring of Tammy Mason to lead the school and says she currently serves as assistant principal at Kenwood Elementary School in Clarksville.

She also spent eight years as a classroom teacher and two years as a guidance counselor for grades 7 through 12 in Franklin County Public Schools in Frankfort.

Mason, who is a Russellville resident, says, “I am very excited to come back to Todd County and reestablish relationships, and to have the opportunity to work with an amazing staff and community. I feel very humbled and honored to have been chosen for this position by the South Todd Site Based Decision Making Council, and I look forward to getting started.”

Mason will meet with the school’s staff on Friday and there will be an open house for parents and the community to talk with her before the next school year begins.
