Several people were hospitalized Monday after exposure to chlorine fumes in Central City.
WFIE TV reports crews were working with chlorine at the pool in the Convention Center on Golden Tide Avenue, when several people became overwhelmed by fumes.
Dispatchers told the TV station that about 50 people were being evacuated from the building.
Ambulances were called from nearby counties to help transport patients to area hospitals.
