A man who allegedly made threats to shoot and hurt several people in a Hopkinsville convenience store Saturday afternoon was arrested after a struggle with police.
Officers were called to the Circle K on North Main Street about 4:15 p.m. and found 39-year old Michael Ritcko of Hopkinsville in the parking lot shouting threats at customers, according to an arrest citation, which says he had been threatening to shoot and hurt people at the store.
Ritcko charged at officers several times and did not comply with commands to surrender, with officers utilizing a taser to take him into custody. He admitted to being under the influence of drugs, according to police.
Ritcko is charged with terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and criminal mischief.
