The deadline is approaching to register to vote in the May primary election.
If you are a Democrat or Republican wanting to vote in the primaries for state constitutional offices such as governor, attorney general and secretary of state, you must be registered to vote by 4 p.m. on Monday, April 22nd.
Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes says Kentuckians can register to vote or update their registration by going to govoteky.com. One can also go to their local county clerk’s office. It’s too late to switch parties and cast a ballot in the primary.
Minors who will be 17 at the primary, but 18 during the general election can register to vote in the primary.
