Missouri State’s Harper expected to be named new coach of UT Lady Vols

Multiple reports indicate the University of Tennessee is hiring Missouri State’s Kelly Harper as the new coach of the Lady Vols.

The former Kelly Jolly played for UT from 1995-99 with three of those teams winning NCAA national championships. Harper, while at Missouri State, has compiled a 118-79 record in six seasons. Her Bears teams advanced to the NCAA tournament twice and the WNIT three times, and she guided them to a 25-10 record and the Sweet 16 this past season. She has also been a head coach at Western Carolina and NC State.

She will replace Holly Warlick, who was fired after the end of this past season. An official announcement is expected soon.
